The Freebird 50 and 25K Mountian Bike races are a popular colorado mountain bike race in September in Eagle, Colorado, and rated by Strambecco as one of the best MTB events in Colorado. According to the race organizer, Gemini Adventures, this event is a Colorado end-of-summer outdoor celebration! Come celebrate the beginning of fall in the mountains with a mountain bike challenge! An exciting weekend of festival fun and adventure on the trails near Eagle, Colorado. With the start/finish line right in the heart of Eagle, friends and family can enjoy themselves while you ride this rugged mountain race. Enjoy a relaxing weekend with a beer, hot meal, music, and a massage at the recovery station. Join the runners at the Saturday night party!
Experience uphill grinds and beautiful singletrack. Both the 50K and 25K courses are a great test of stamina and give a culmination of summer training. This event will test your fitness with many short ups and downs and a couple of big climbs. Racers will have three aid stations (one for the 25K) and receive a finisher’s memento and age group awards.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit The Cycle Effect, a local non-profit with the mission to empower girls through mountain biking.
To be environmentally friendly and reduce the trash, the event will have no cups at the aid stations. Please carry a water bottle on the course.
