Gravel Locos Pueblo

Gravel Locos is adding an event in 2022 in the front range of the Rocky Mountains in Pueblo, Colorado, Gravel Locos Pueblo. This event will be raising funds for the Red Creek Volunteer Fire and Rescue. There are four course options available with registration ranging from 30 miles to 170 miles and up to 13,242 feet of elevation gain. Many professional cyclists are registered for this event so register for your preferred quickly or sign-up on site to volunteer.
The full day event has four course options. The easiest option, La Pequena, is non-timed and non-competitive and covers 30.3 miles and 1,324 of elevation. The next three course options are all timed and competitive. La Mediana is 64.8 miles with elevation gain of 3,161 feet. La Gran Piedra rides a full 105.3 miles and gains 8,230 feet in elevation. The most challenging option is La Loca which covers a full 170.1 miles and 13,242 of elevation. Select the right one for you and prepare for a visually appealing ride in one of Colorado’s unique towns. The ride is Saturday but packet pickup can be done Friday with a pre-ride and lunch with the multiple pros attending. The event ends Saturday evening with a Texan BBQ dinner and awards presentation for all participants and supporters.
Pueblo, Colorado is known for it’s arts districts, year-round outdoor activities, and culturally diverse city. For local restaurants, travelers may enjoy American food at Country Kitchen, Italian cuisine at La Forchetta de Massi, or fine dining at D.C.’s on B Street. Lodging options include several Marriott hotels in downtown area like Courtyard by Marriott or locally owned and managed hotel, The Abriendo Inn. Gravel Locos events include Hico, TX and now Pueblo, CO. The settings are very different but the purpose of the entire race series is to help Volunteer Fire Departments nationwide. Presenters and sponsors are incredibly thankful for the local men and women who work to keep their communities safe.
