Wild West Mountain Bike Festival

The Wild West Mountain Bike festival takes place annually in the heart of New Mexico in mid October. This is an endurance event with 6 hour, 12 hour, and 40 mile mountain bike disciplines which all take place in the Grindestone Lake trail system. The weekend brings lots of racing, a new crit race that takes over the town on Friday night, and also a new four stage enduro race for the downhill oriented folk alongside the main endurance races. The race usually takes place in mid April but has been moved for 2020 due to obvious reasons. The Wild West Festival is part of the Zia Rides Race series and is normally the first stop on this calendar. It is important to know about the Wild West Festival is that there is a place for every ability from kids races to pros and loads of fun to have. The Wild West Bike Fest brings the best of riders, sponsors, and fun to such a large event, and definitely a weekend that is worth attending in Ruidoso New Mexico.
