Chosen by Trail Runner Magazine as one of “America’s 14 Most Scenic Races” and Colorado Runner Magazine as the “Best Half Marathon” in 2008, the Golden Leaf is one of the most beautiful trail event in the Rockies. Set for September, 19th 2020 in Aspen, Colorado, the height of Colorado’s fall color season, this is a destination course that is as challenging as beautiful. Runners will be taken on a course from Snowmass Village to Aspen Mountain with steep climbs, single track mountain trails, and roads all conveying the magnificent scenery of Aspen and the famous colors of the fall season. With elevation gains of 970 feet peaking at 9,400 feet in elevation, this course is no joke but with most races cancelled this summer, this event is one we recommend you set your sights on.
