DESCRIPTION:Set against the dramatic Sea-to-Sky Corridor between Vancouver and Whistler\, this gravel fondo showcases some of British Columbia’s most stunning terrain. The event features three distinct routes\, all starting and finishing at Logger Sports Park in Squamish\, with the imposing Stawamus Chief granite monolith providing a spectacular backdrop. \nThe Full Fondo covers 92 kilometers with 1\,980 meters of elevation gain\, tackling challenging climbs that never exceed 9% gradient. Riders navigate a mix of gravel forest service roads and singletrack trails\, with panoramic mountain views and river crossings throughout. The Medio Fondo offers a 50-kilometer option with 900 meters of climbing\, while the 25-kilometer Piccolo route provides 500 meters of elevation for newcomers to gravel cycling. \nOrganized by Tri 1 Events\, who bring 19 years of event management experience and nine years specializing in Western Canadian gravel fondos\, the race runs with military precision. Staggered starts begin at 8:00 AM for the Full Fondo\, with course closure at 2:30 PM. Participants can compete individually or in teams of two or four\, with team results based on combined finishing times. \nThe post-race atmosphere captures the event’s community spirit perfectly. Riders gather for locally-sourced meals\, craft beer from regional breweries\, and prize draws while sharing stories from the course.
