Barry-Roubaix is known as the World’s Largest Gravel Race and is regularly recognized as one of the best gravel events/races world-over.  It is a classic road/off-road cycling race featuring a variety of terrain and surfaces, testing cyclists of all skill levels.  This is the event for you for the cyclists and racers of all levels who want to start their season with a real challenge and experience the scenery of the Barry County back roads.  The name Barry-Roubaix references Paris-Roubaix, the one-day cycling classic in France.  The race typically takes place on the third Saturday in April.

The routes will test all rider types against rolling gravel roads (80%), pavement, a mile of rough two-track, rocks, sand, and mud as you traverse the scenic roads of Barry County.  There are four race lengths to challenge riders of all abilities:  The 18-mile Floyd’s of Leadville “Chiller” has approx. 1200′ feet of ascent; The 36-mile Smith Optics “Thriller” climbs approx. 2200′ feet of ascent;  The 62-mile SRAM “Killer” you can expect approx. 3800′ feet of ascent;  The 100-mile  Panaracer “Psycho Killer” will enjoy over 6800 feet of ascent! There is a 350 racer cap for the Psycho Killer.

There are various race categories to choose from, and the event welcomes Gravel, Cyclocross, Mountain, Road, Single-Speed, Fixed gear, Fatbikes & Tandem bikes as riders prefer.

Due to the popularity of this event, sign-up and plan to travel early.  Registration opens December 3 at 8 am EST.
