About This Event
For more than 20 years, the Hot Hundred 2026 has held its reputation as one of the best rides in the country, attracting road cycling enthusiasts from all corners. Established in 2003 and organized by Druid City Bicycle Club, this century ride has become a standout event in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and one that the team at Strambecco considers to be one of the Best Road Cycling Events in the Southeast. With six different distance options, ranging from 30 to 116 miles, participants can choose a route that suits their preferences and challenges their cycling prowess. The event goes beyond the thrill of the ride; it also makes a meaningful impact by supporting the Tuscaloosa Mental Health Alliance through raised funds from sponsorships and registration fees.
The Hot Hundred 2026 promises a truly rewarding cycling experience, no matter your level of expertise. The Brian Smith Memorial Ultra, covering 116 miles, stands as the ultimate challenge for seasoned riders seeking an extraordinary test of skill and determination. Meanwhile, the Hot Hundred, encompassing 99.9 miles, presents an equally thrilling journey for those aspiring to conquer a century ride. For riders looking for a slightly shorter distance, four other routes, ranging from 30 to 75 miles, offer equally picturesque scenery and ample support at well-organized rest stops. As you pedal through Tuscaloosa’s charming landscapes, you’ll be captivated by the beauty of Alabama’s countryside. In one participant’s opinion, they remarked, “The Hot Hundred continues to be one of the best rides in the country. I look forward to next year!”
