About This Event

Longmont Gravel 2026, previously known as Lefthand Gravel, is an eagerly anticipated race for gravel cycling enthusiasts in the Front Range of Colorado from the producers of Ned Gravel. Organized by Peak to Peak Endurance, a non-profit dedicated to supporting youth programs in the Peak to Peak area, this event is a celebration of the gravel cycling culture in Boulder and Larimer Counties. Known for its inclusivity and community focus, the event welcomes cyclists from all backgrounds and experience levels.

Strambecco rates Longmont Gravel 2026 as one of the Best Gravel Cycling Race Events in the Rockies and one of the Best Gravel Cycling Race Events in Colorado.

The event offers three course options, each tailored to different skill levels. The Triple Course is the most challenging, clocking in at 110 miles with 5,100 feet of elevation gain. Although much of the route is paved, it includes the grueling Carter Lake climb, which riders will tackle 2.5 times. The expansive views of Long’s Peak and surrounding lakes make the effort worthwhile.

The Double Course, measuring 71 miles with 3,200 feet of elevation gain, offers a greater challenge. Riders will start with smooth gravel roads before encountering the Carter Lake climbs, a more demanding section that will test their endurance. The route combines gravel and paved sections, providing both technical elements and steady climbing.

The Single Course is the shortest, at 33 miles with 956 feet of elevation gain. This route features gentle rolling hills, with a blend of gravel roads and bike paths through the scenic North Boulder area. The terrain is non-technical, making it perfect for first-time gravel riders.

Aid stations are strategically placed along all routes to provide hydration, nutrition, and support. SAG (Support and Gear) vehicles are available throughout the event, ready to assist with mechanical issues. Field limits are generous, while completion cutoff times are flexible, allowing riders of all abilities to finish without excessive pressure.

At the finish line, participants are greeted with a festive atmosphere at the Left Hand Brewing after-party, where they can celebrate their achievements with craft beer, live music, and the camaraderie of fellow cyclists. No qualifying is necessary to enter, making it accessible to all who are ready to take on the gravel challenge.
