RASDak
About
RASDak, short for Ride Across South Dakota, is a yearly cycling event celebrating the diverse and stunning landscapes of South Dakota, also known as the “Land of Infinite Variety.” The event offers participants a chance to enjoy the state’s beauty and hospitality and supports various local organizations, including youth groups, churches, and schools. These groups often use the funds raised through RASDak to finance camps, trips, and other activities.
Established by the South Dakota Community Foundation on April 18, 2016, the RASDak Fund aims to provide a scholarship to a deserving high school senior in each town visited during the tour. This scholarship recognizes students who have played a significant role in enhancing their community’s spirit and livability. The initiative, supported generously by the RASDak community, ensures that the interest generated by the fund suffices to cover at least one scholarship annually. Since the inception of this scholarship program, more than $20,000 has been awarded to help further the education of community-minded students.
