About This Event

Last updated June 7, 2026

Event for 2027 has not been confirmed yet… The BC Bike Race 2027 offers mountain bikers a seven-day journey across British Columbia’s most celebrated singletrack trails. Taking place from the last week of June through the first week of July, this event immerses riders in Vancouver Island’s breathtaking landscapes, rooted in old-growth forests and rugged coastal scenery. Known for its high singletrack density and meticulously designed trails, this stands as one of the most acclaimed multi-day mountain bike stage races globally. One participant shared, “It’s the ultimate riding vacation through some of the world’s finest terrain, an endeavor that every mountain biker should take on at least once in their lives.”

The experience blends exhilarating trails with a supportive community atmosphere, where riders bond over the thrill of navigating roots, rocks, and forested climbs. Each stage features professionally curated routes, aid stations, Shimano tech zones, and course marshals ensuring safe passage from start to finish.

The seven-day course spans diverse regions across Vancouver Island, starting with a prologue in Victoria and continuing through famed biking areas like Cowichan Valley, Nanaimo, Cumberland, and Campbell River. The Victoria prologue (22.7 km, 488m elevation) serves as a crucial seeding event on technical and flowy trails. Stage highlights include the epic Cowichan Valley dual-mountain challenge (47.8 km, 1,376m elevation) featuring the “A Grand Traverse” climb and stunning “Field of Dreams” views, Nanaimo’s granite slab descent through “The Abyss,” Cumberland’s beloved “Furtherburger” and “Field of Dreams” trails, and Campbell River’s remote forest journey through “Jabberwocky” and “Dean Martin.”

The final Cumberland stage celebrates completion with a thrilling “Vanilla” descent. Daily award ceremonies, finisher’s belt buckles, and community gatherings cap each stage, concluding with a celebratory beer garden at the finish line.
