The event is part of the respected Ignite Trail Series, created by ultra-distance runners who launched Indiana’s first 100-mile trail race here in 2013. The route is well-marked with pink flags and directional signage, supported by three strategically placed aid stations at miles 0/13.1, 4.2, and 9.5. Each station stocks water, Tailwind electrolyte drinks, gels, and snacks. The generous 8-hour cutoff gives runners plenty of time to tackle the technical sections and enjoy the park’s natural beauty.

Starting at 8:00 AM Eastern, the race maintains an inclusive atmosphere with Trail Sisters approval, ensuring equal recognition for all participants. Age group awards span from Under 29 to 70+, and every finisher receives a medal. The park offers free tent camping near the start/finish, creating a community feel that extends beyond race day.
