Scheduled for April 5, 2025, this inaugural event allows participants to ride through the breathtaking Sierra de Vallejo National Protected Area, experiencing a "Sand to Sun" journey on Mexico's west coast. Organized by RBC Gran Fondo, the team behind North America's largest Gran Fondo, RBC GranFondo Whistler, this event promises world-class support, incredible cycling routes, and a signature party atmosphere.

Event Course & Info
The RBC Gran Fondo Riviera Nayarit offers a 100-kilometer ride that takes participants through a scenic coastal route, including sections within the protected Sierra de Vallejo area. This route is designed for cyclists looking to experience the perfect combination of beautiful landscapes and a moderately challenging course.
The main event is a 100-kilometer (62-mile) ride that kicks off at 9 AM from Boulevard Nuevo Vallarta. Cyclists will navigate a coastal course with rolling terrain, including short steep hills and moderate sustained climbs. The route offers stunning views of the Pacific Ocean and takes riders through the protected Sierra de Vallejo National Park, which features lush greenery and wildlife.
The terrain is moderately challenging, with several climbs to test riders' endurance, but nothing overly technical. Riders can expect aid stations positioned at key points along the route, stocked with refreshments and nutrition to keep them fueled throughout the ride. Mechanical and SAG (Support and Gear) support will be available for those who may need assistance during the event, ensuring that all participants can focus on enjoying the ride.
The race has a festive atmosphere with a post-ride celebration at Celebration Plaza in Nuevo Vallarta, which will be open from 11 AM to 4 PM. Here, participants can relax and enjoy food, drinks, and live music as they celebrate completing the Gran Fondo. Awards will be given to top finishers, although the main goal for many will be the experience of cycling through one of Mexico's most beautiful regions.
