About This Event

Longmont Gravel offers three distinct course options across the scenic Front Range, each designed to challenge different skill levels while showcasing Colorado’s diverse terrain. Previously known as Lefthand Gravel, this event is organized by Peak to Peak Endurance, a non-profit supporting local youth programs, creating a community-focused atmosphere that welcomes cyclists from all backgrounds.

The Triple Course presents the ultimate challenge at 110 miles with 5,100 feet of elevation gain. Despite being largely paved, the route includes the punishing Carter Lake climb tackled 2.5 times, testing even experienced riders. The payoff comes in expansive views of Long’s Peak and surrounding lakes that make the suffering worthwhile.

The Double Course spans 71 miles with 3,200 feet of climbing, combining smooth gravel roads with demanding Carter Lake ascents. This route balances technical elements with steady climbing, ideal for riders seeking substantial challenge without the Triple’s extreme distance.

The Single Course covers 33 miles with 956 feet of elevation through gentle rolling hills in North Boulder. Featuring non-technical terrain mixing gravel roads and bike paths, it provides an accessible entry point for newcomers while still delivering satisfying scenery and riding.

Aid stations are strategically positioned across all routes, with SAG vehicles providing mechanical support throughout. Generous field limits and flexible cutoff times ensure inclusivity, while staggered starts prevent congestion.

The post-ride celebration at Left Hand Brewing creates a festive finish line atmosphere with craft beer, live music, and genuine cycling camaraderie. Awards recognize top performers, but the event’s true spirit lies in collective participation and the welcoming gravel community it fosters.
