The third leg of the Oregon Gravel Grinder Series presents riders with approximately 350 miles and 25,000-33,000 feet of elevation gain over five days through the Cascade Mountain Range. This fully supported stage race offers two classifications: Pioneer riders tackle roughly 350 miles with 30,000 feet of climbing at about 70 miles per day, while Settlers cover approximately 250 miles with 15,000 feet of climbing at around 50 miles per day.

The event creates a complete loop starting and ending in Sisters, with overnight camps at different locations each night. Registration includes all support, tents, meals, and nightly entertainment, plus professional massages for recovery between stages. Each day varies in difficulty from moderate to very hard, with well-stocked aid stations maintaining fuel and hydration throughout.

The route showcases Oregon’s diverse terrain with a mix of gravel and paved surfaces. Day one covers 66 miles through forested areas from Bend to Gilchrist. Day two presents the longest stage at 92 miles with significant climbing to Oakridge. The third day features a 30-mile time trial with multiple racing segments including some singletrack. Day four delivers the biggest climbing day with over 9,000 feet of elevation gain covering 83 miles through varied landscapes. The final stage returns riders to Bend with nearly 8,000 feet of climbing over 79 miles.

The event combines serious physical challenge with strong community elements.
