The TransSelkirks Run is a five-day stage race that covers 60 miles and 16,000 feet of elevation gain in the Selkirk Mountains near Revelstoke, BC. The race takes runners through high alpine terrain, glaciers, lakes, and wildlife, with stunning views of the Columbia River and the Monashee Range. The race offers four different options: Full Stoke (60 miles in 5 days), Half Stoke (34 miles in 3 days), Stoked Ultra (31 miles in 1 day), and Stoked Scramble (15.5 miles in 1 day). The Golden Ultra is another three-day stage race that covers 52 miles and 13,000 feet of elevation gain in the town of Golden, BC. The race features a variety of trails, from smooth and flat to steep and technical, with views of the Purcell and Rocky Mountains, the Columbia River, and the Kicking Horse Canyon. The race also offers four different options: Full Pint (52 miles in 3 days), Half Pint (30 miles in 3 days), 60k Ultra (37 miles in 1 day), and 30k Ultra (18.6 miles in 1 day). The race is held in mid-September and draws runners who want to enjoy Golden's trails and culture.

The Northwest is a destination for trail runners seeking multi-day adventures and those who prefer shorter and faster races. There are many trail running events in the Northwest that cater to different distances, difficulties, locations, and dates. Some of the top-rated ones are the Chuckanut 50, Bigfoot 200, Cascade Crest, and Gorge Waterfalls.
