Event for 2027 has not been confirmed yet… The Cascade Gravel Grinder 2027 is the second race in the Oregon Gravel Grinder Series, and it takes place in and around the adventure-loving town of Bend, Oregon. The event, produced by Breakaway Productions, is unique in that, in the past, it included a single-day event on Sunday or the chance to participate in an exclusive multi-day stage race that runs from Friday to Sunday. Strambecco considers Cascade Gravel Grinder 2027 to be one of the Best Gravel Cycling Race Events in Oregon as well as the Best Gravel Cycling Race Events in the Northwest.

Event & Course Info

With Team Breakaway’s exciting new changes, including the transition from a 3-day stage race to a single epic day of racing, participants at Cascade Gravel Grinder can expect a fresh and exhilarating experience. This year, the focus is on the legendary Three Creeks course, with three distance options to accommodate riders of all levels. Here’s a detailed look at each course option all starting at Sisters Middle School and finishing at Village Green Park:

Big Gravel
– Distance: 91 Miles
– Elevation Gain: 8533 Feet
– Surface: 83% Gravel, 17% Paved

Medium Gravel
– Distance: 63.1 Miles
– Elevation Gain: 5763 Feet
– Surface: 78% Gravel, 22% Paved

Small Gravel
– Distance: 43.7 Miles
– Elevation Gain: 3339 Feet
– Surface: 80% Gravel, 20% Paved

With expanded distances, more challenging sections, and a bigger party atmosphere high in the Cascade Mountains, the Cascade Gravel Grinder is set to be a standout event. Participants will receive a commemorative T-shirt, a commemorative pint glass, a Cascade Gravel Grinder badge, access to well-stocked aid stations, mechanical support, and a Sunday ride celebration lunch and beer. Area Accommodations & Things to Do

Cascade Gravel Grinder registrants are also offered to stay at the host hotel with a 20% discounted rate; BW Premier Peppertree Inn. All finish lines are near downtown Bend, Oregon, where multiple locations are close to the campground for food, lodging, and other activities. These restaurant recommendations include lodging options: The Row, Cabin 22, and a full Mount Bachelor experience at The Mountain.
