The fourth leg in the six-part Southeast Gravel Series, a noteworthy South Carolina series often utilizing private land not normally accessible to gravel aficionados. This event is no exception, with singletrack, long gravel roads, and hillier expected terrain. The long course is 69 and 3700 feet of evaluation gain. The short course is 31 miles and 1800 feet of elevation gain. Rounding out the field is a 13-mile fun course. Strambecco rates the event as one of the best gravel grinders in the Southeast.
The event is hosted on private property, including an amazing start-finish location. The Greenwood Gravel Grinder is a great event for those who like to camp on-site. There is FREE on-site camping available for Friday night (April 1st). There are no electrical or water hookups, but you can camp in either a motorhome or a tent.
