Event for 2026 not confirmed yet… The fourth leg in the six-part Southeast Gravel Series is a noteworthy South Carolina series often utilizing private land not normally accessible to gravel aficionados.  The Greenwood Gravel Grinder 2026 is no exception, with singletrack, long gravel roads, and hillier expected terrain.  The long course is 76 miles and 4300 feet of evaluation gain.  The short course is 49 miles and 2900 feet of elevation gain.  Rounding out the field is a 13-mile fun course.  Strambecco rates the event as one of the Best Gravel Grinders in the Southeast.

The Greenwood Gravel Grinder is hosted on private property, including an amazing start-finish location.  The event is a great event for those who like to camp on-site. There is FREE on-site camping available for Friday night (April 1st). The six-part Southeast Gravel Series, produced by Southeast Gravel, runs from March to August and include the Gravel Battle of Sumter Forest, Saluda Redbank 100, Race to Valhalla, Greenwood Gravel Grinder, Tryon Gravel Gallop, and Kershaw Gold Rush.

The location for the event is Abbeville, SC, a small city located in Abbeville County. With a population of around 5,000 people, it is known for its rich historical heritage and charming small-town atmosphere.
