The Hundo 2026
About This Event
Set in the Rocky Mountains near Bailey, Colorado, The Hundo combines challenging mountain biking with meaningful community impact. Proceeds support youth cycling initiatives through Lucky to Ride, the Colorado High School Cycling League, and the Colorado Mountain Biking Association (COMBA).
Riders choose between two demanding courses through Colorado’s rugged terrain. The full 100K covers over 62 miles with 6,500 feet of elevation gain, starting at 8:00 am and traversing dense forests, open meadows, and technical trails that showcase the area’s natural beauty while testing endurance and bike handling skills.
The course features six strategically placed aid stations stocked with water, Honey Stinger products, and snacks. Key checkpoints include Sandy Wash at mile 26.8 (1 pm cutoff), Little Scraggy at mile 32 (1:45 pm cutoff), Gashouse Inbound at mile 50 (4:45 pm cutoff), and the final station at Miller Gulch Inbound, mile 57.5 (6 pm cutoff). Cutoff times are strictly enforced for safety, with medical staff stationed along the route.
The 64K HUNDito offers a more accessible option, starting at 10:00 am with over 4,000 feet of climbing across 40 miles. This course hits three aid stations and provides a solid taste of Colorado’s famous singletrack without the full century commitment.
Both courses demand thorough preparation given the altitude, technical terrain, and enforced cutoffs. Riders who miss cutoffs are removed from official standings but may continue unsupported. The finish-line celebration creates a festive atmosphere that matches the event’s community-focused mission.
