About This Event

This event represents the return of the beloved Oregon endurance MTB format after the popular Oregon 24/12 was cancelled due to licensing issues. Produced by veteran organizer Mudslinger Events, the race takes place at the stunning Alsea Falls Recreation Area, where riders tackle as many laps as possible within six hours across solo and duo team categories.

The course design keeps riders engaged throughout the event. Your first lap covers 10 miles with 1,800 feet of climbing, mixing singletrack and doubletrack with a paved climb section. After that initial loop, subsequent laps are shortened to 7 miles with 950 feet of elevation gain each, allowing you to maintain momentum as fatigue sets in. The trail system features 90% directional singletrack, meaning smooth flow without oncoming traffic concerns.

What sets this venue apart is the riding experience itself. The trails wind through towering Douglas fir forests, offering natural shade and that quintessential Pacific Northwest feel. Expect flowy berms, technical drops, and varied terrain that challenges riders across skill levels while remaining rideable when you’re deep into hour five.

Mudslinger Events has been organizing Northwest mountain bike races since 1987, bringing a vintage racing atmosphere that emphasizes community alongside competition. The organization was founded by Eugene native Michael Ripley, and their events are known for solid logistics and that supportive vibe that keeps riders coming back. The six-hour format strikes an appealing balance—long enough to be a genuine endurance challenge, but accessible to riders who aren’t ready for 12 or 24-hour commitments.
