The Oregon Triple Crown is a series of timed cycling adventures structured for a quality day on the bike for any enthusiast-level cyclist with excellent support, camaraderie, and fun. The Series kicks off West Coast Gravel (May), followed by Oregon Coast Gravel Epic (May), Oregon Gran Fondo (June), Takelma Gravel Grinder (June), and Sasquatch Duro (July).
West Coast Gravel and Oregon Coast Gravel Epic take place annually on consecutive days in May on the same weekend. The events start in the neighboring towns of Waldport and Yachats on the stunning Oregon coast. Waldport is a small town situated along Alsea Bay, where the Alsea River meets the Pacific Ocean. It has a population of around 2,000 residents and offers a charming coastal experience. Waldport is known for its long sandy beaches, scenic views, and opportunities for outdoor recreation. Yachats, located about 10 miles south of Waldport, is another charming coastal community. It has a population of around 700 residents and is nestled between the Pacific Ocean and the lush green forests of the Oregon Coast Range. Yachats is famous for its rugged coastline, dramatic cliffs, and beautiful tide pools. As you might imagine, gravel cycling in this region is world-class. Whether you decide to do one or both events, the location offers the chance for a perfect weekend getaway. Both events, along with Takelma and Sasquatch, are rated by Strambecco as some of the Best Gravel Cycling events in the Northwest.
