Oregon Triple Crown Series

Formed by mountain biker enthusiast Michael Ripley, the Oregon Triple Crown Series brings people together to explore the gorgeous outdoor areas of Oregon. The Oregon Triple Crown Series are timed cycling adventures structured for a quality day on the bike for any enthusiast-level cyclist with excellent support, camaraderie, and fun. The series is a mix of road and gravel events showcasing some of the best cycling routes in Oregon, with an emphasis on gravel.

  1. Kick off the series with Oregon Coast Gravel Epic. This endurance event on the first weekend in May showcases the raw beauty of ancient Siuslaw National Forests, rural Oregon coastal communities,  and some of its' seriously stout hills. This one makes one of Strambecco's best cycling events in Oregon and best mountain bike events in the Northwest.
  2. Celebrate the explorer in all of us and join gravel enthusiasts in Yachats, OR with West Coast Gravel. This event is known as one of Strambecco's best gravel cycling events in the Northwest and Oregon.
  3. Next is the Oregon Gran Fondo which is known for its challenging routes, beautiful scenery, and fun and festive atmosphere that attracts cyclists of all levels from across the country. This one is rated by Strambecco in both the best road cycling events and best gravel cycling events for the Northwest.
  4. Takelma Gravel Grinder takes riders through the doors (literally) of the casino before rolling towards the town of Canyonville and onto rural Tiller Trail Highway. This one is rated as best gravel events in the Northwest and best gravel events in Oregon.
  5. Sasquatch Duro is the final event in the Oregon Triple Crown Series. Sasquatch Duro is an adventurous gravel ride mostly on logging roads just East of Eugene, OR in and around the towns of Oakridge and Westfir. Strambecco rates Sasquatch as one of the Best Gravel Events in the Northwest and Oregon.

West Coast Gravel and Oregon Coast Gravel Epic take place annually on consecutive days in May on the same weekend.  The events start in the neighboring towns of Waldport and Yachats on the stunning Oregon coast. Waldport is a small town situated along Alsea Bay, where the Alsea River meets the Pacific Ocean. It has a population of around 2,000 residents and offers a charming coastal experience. Waldport is known for its long sandy beaches, scenic views, and opportunities for outdoor recreation.  Yachats, located about 10 miles south of Waldport, is another charming coastal community. It has a population of around 700 residents and is nestled between the Pacific Ocean and the lush green forests of the Oregon Coast Range. Yachats is famous for its rugged coastline, dramatic cliffs, and beautiful tide pools.  As you might imagine, gravel cycling in this region is world-class.  Whether you decide to do one or both events, the location offers the chance for a perfect weekend getaway.  Both events, along with Takelma and Sasquatch, are rated by Strambecco as some of the Best Gravel Cycling events in the Northwest.

The Oregon Gran Fondo, primarily a road event,  is rated by Strambecco as one of the Best Road Cycling Events in the Northwest.

Mudslinger also produces the Oregon XC Series which includes six premier Oregon MTB events spanning April to September.
