Takelma Gravel Grinder 2026
About This Event
Part of the Oregon Triple Crown Series, this intimate gravel event caps participation at 200 riders for a challenging 57-mile route through southern Oregon’s diverse terrain. The course delivers over 6,000 feet of climbing at demanding grades, making it one of the more serious tests in the region’s gravel calendar.
The adventure begins uniquely—riders literally roll through the Seven Feathers Casino doors before heading toward Canyonville and onto rural Tiller Trail Highway. After passing pastoral farm and ranch landscapes along the South Umpqua River, the real work begins with a punishing 1.3-mile climb averaging 9% grade. This opening KOM effort sets the tone, rewarding survivors with spectacular valley views of Days Creek.
The route continues toward Chief Miwaleta Park with scenic views of Galesville Reservoir before looping back to Seven Feathers. The challenging terrain and sustained climbing efforts attract serious gravel riders looking for a genuine test rather than a casual roll through the countryside.
Post-race recovery happens at the Bites, Blues & Brews Festival, where Seven Feathers provides food and drinks courtesy of the race organizers. The casino setting adds an unusual but welcome twist—complete facilities including lodging, dining, and even a spa for those wanting to make a weekend of it.
Support during the event includes SAG vehicles and well-stocked aid stations with electrolytes and food. As part of the Oregon Triple Crown Series, completing this event along with two others earns riders “Oregon Triple Crowner” status and a custom Pactimo jersey.
