Hincapie Events offers the ultimate cycling experience in Lehigh Valley, Gran Fondo Hincapie – Lehigh Valley of southeastern Pennsylvania, with 81-mile, 55-mile, or 14-mile course options available for all riders over the age of 18. Each ride includes catered rest stops with live music and SAG support. Chosen as one of our best cycling events in the Mid-Atlantic, the longest and hardest ride, The Gran, is 81 miles and 6,313 feet of elevation gain with four rest stops. For terrain, the course has 11 short steep climbs, six dirt road sections that total 5.1 miles, and five covered bridges. The Medio course is 55 miles and 4,100 feet of elevation gain with three rest stops. There are eight short steep climbs, four dirt roads that total 4 miles, and two covered bridges. The shortest option, Piccolo, is 14 miles and 770 feet of elevation gain covering the Lehigh Valley’s rolling hills. It allows new cyclists to try out the Gran Fondo Hincapie experience. All courses end at the Valley Preferred Cycling Center with a stadium atmosphere for the finish line, the ultimate experience. In addition to food, drink, and support, ride registration for each ride includes free rider photos, timing chips, event jerseys, and free food and drink at the Rider Festival.

George Hincapie, one of the founders of Gran Fondo Hincapie, is well-known in the cycling industry, making a name for himself by defining domestique. He has competed in Tour de France 17 times and won the US National Road Race championships three times. He has retired from the professional racing circuit but is involved in Hincapie product development and often makes appearances, or rides, in the various Gran Fondo Hincapie events.
