The West Coast debut of the Gran Fondo Hincapie – Merced presents an unparalleled opportunity to ride alongside cycling legend George Hincapie through the captivating landscapes of California’s Central Valley and into the rugged terrain of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. It is producer Hincapie Eventsforay into gravel cycling events –  the namesake of former world tour rider George Hincapie, best known for riding and completing the Tour de France 16 times. Unfortunately, the inaugural event was intended to take place in 2023 but had to be postponed to 2024 due to the severe weather and flooding in the area, so the anticipation is high!

This event not only promises a thrilling adventure across varying terrain but also ensures a festive celebration of cycling, complete with a family festival, free food, and beverages to mark the culmination of your gritty journey. It is one of many events that make up the Hincapie Gran Fondo Series and one that we consider to be one of the Best Gravel Cycling Events in the Southwest and California.
