Strambecco rates the event as one of Italy’s best gran fondo events for 2023.
The Maratona dles Dolomites race course covers a distance of 138 kilometers and takes cyclists through seven mountain passes with a total elevation gain of 4,230 meters. The race starts and finishes in the town of La Villa and also passes through the towns of Badia, Corvara, Arabba, and Canazei. The route is known for its steep and challenging climbs, with gradients reaching up to 12 percent.
