About This Event
Oregon 6-Hour MTB 2026 is rated by Strambecco as a Best-in-Class MTB event in the Northwest. It is the predecessor event to the highly popular Oregon 24/12, which was cancelled in 2024 due to licensing issues. Acclaimed producer Mudslinger Events produces the event, which takes place at the Alsea Falls Recreation Area near Monroe, Oregon. This event offers solo and duo team categories, challenging participants to complete as many laps as possible within six hours. The first lap covers 10 miles with 1,800 feet of climbing, featuring a mix of singletrack, double track, and a paved climb. Subsequent laps are 7 miles each with 950 feet of elevation gain, designed to maintain momentum throughout the event.
The Alsea Falls Recreation Area, managed by the Bureau of Land Management, is a paradise for mountain bikers. Its backcountry trail system, featuring over 15 miles of directional, flowy singletrack, is designed to challenge riders of all skill levels. With 90% directional trails, riders can enjoy a rollercoaster experience of berms, drops, and technical climbs without worrying about oncoming traffic. Trails wind through towering Douglas fir forests, offering shaded rides and breathtaking views, with varied terrain from adrenaline-pumping descents to steady climbs.
Mudslinger Events was formed by Michael Ripley, an enthusiastic mountain biker who grew up in Eugene, Oregon. Having been run since 1987, Mudslinger Events brings back a vintage atmosphere to Mountain Biking and cross-country racing. They organize some of the Northwest’s best mountain bike and gravel race events, with many events considered the Best Mountain Bike Events in the Northwest.
