Participants ride on a mix of forest service roads, jeep tracks, and high-altitude trails, with a total elevation gain of over 12,000 feet (3,700 meters).

The race starts and finishes in downtown Leadville, situated at an elevation of approximately 10,200 feet (3,110 meters). The course takes riders through stunning mountain vistas, steep climbs, technical descents, and a variety of challenging terrain.
