Gravel Fondo Moab 2026
About This Event
The Gravel Fondo Moab follows the dramatic Gemini Bridges Road through Moab’s signature red rock country, offering one of the most visually stunning gravel experiences in the Southwest. The route begins with views of the iconic Gooney Bird rock formation before climbing toward the Gemini Bridges and Highway 313, where panoramic vistas of Canyonlands National Park unfold in every direction.
The course continues along Dubinky Well Road, winding through classic high desert terrain that defines Utah’s canyon country. You’ll meander south along the base of Mill Canyon before completing the loop back to Bar M, creating a circuit that showcases the diverse landscapes that make Moab legendary among outdoor enthusiasts. While the exact route details haven’t been finalized for 2026, expect similar distance and elevation to the 60-mile road counterpart, likely around 50 miles of challenging desert gravel.
Part of the two-day Moab Fondo Fest, this event attracts both gravel newcomers drawn to the spectacular scenery and seasoned riders seeking technical desert challenges. The terrain varies from rolling sections with sweeping views to more demanding climbs that reward effort with elevated perspectives of the surrounding mesas and formations.
TransRockies organizes the event with professional timing, aid stations, and post-ride festivities that create a festive atmosphere without overwhelming the natural setting. The mass start format keeps things social while allowing competitive riders to test themselves against the clock and the unforgiving beauty of Utah’s red rock wilderness.
