The answer, according to the race director, is a delightful blend of mental and physical challenge. It’s a course that demands effort, dedication, and perhaps a touch of insanity – all to earn that triumphant feeling and an awesome post-race meal that tastes like victory.

Ranked as one of Strambecco’s best trail races in the Mid-Atlantic, it’s not just a race; it’s a celebration of conquering peaks, overcoming obstacles, and, most importantly, having a ‘fun’ time doing it. The Hyner View Trail Challenge, organized by the PA Trail Dogs and Pennsylvania Triple Crown Series, is the beating heart of trail running greatness.

The Hyner View Trail Challenge lives up to its name, weaving through the quaint village of Hyner and scaling the majestic Hyner Mountain. The 25K course is a rollercoaster of three major climbs and descents, challenging participants mentally and physically with a whopping 4,000 feet of vertical gain. Picture breathtaking vistas, refreshing stream crossings, and winding single-track paths that’ll leave you breathless in the best possible way.

For the daring souls opting for the 50K challenge: five major climbs, approximately 6,500 feet of vertical gain, and some awe-inspiring course changes were introduced in 2019. The Hyner View Trail Challenge 50K isn’t just a race; it’s a journey, and it’s a proud member of the Rocksylvania Trail Series.
