The 2026 event has not been confirmed yet… The Oregon Gran Fondo 2026 is a popular cycling event in and around Cottage Grove, Oregon, just 20 minutes south of Eugene, Oregon.  The event is known for its challenging routes, beautiful scenery, and fun and festive atmosphere that attracts cyclists of all levels from across the country.  Oregon Gran Fondo 2026 is an Oregon Triple Crown Series event produced by Mudslinger Events, a premier Northwest cycling event producer.  Rated by Strambecco as one of the Best Road Cycling Race Events in the Northwest, the Best Gravel Cycling Race Events in the Northwest, and one of the Best Gravel Cycling Race Events in Oregon.  

Event & Course Info

One of the key reasons for the popularity of the Oregon Gran Fondo is the range of route options available. The event uniquely offers the choice of two all-road routes and two mixed-surface routes.  The road routes include 117 and 71-mile options with 6,600 and 4,400-foot elevation gain, respectively.  The mixed surface routes include 130 and 25-mile options with 8300 and 1800-foot elevation gain, respectively.  The longer Adventure Route includes 16 miles of fast and somewhat loose gravel.  35MM Tires are recommended.  

The event’s terrain is varied and challenging, with steep climbs, winding descents, and technical sections that test even the most experienced riders. The routes are designed to showcase Oregon’s natural beauty while also providing a challenging and rewarding ride for cyclists. The event attracts a diverse mix of cyclists, from competitive riders to casual enthusiasts, all united by a love of cycling and a desire to challenge themselves on some of the most beautiful roads in Oregon.

About Oregon Triple Crown Series

The Oregon Triple Crown Series, organized by Mudslinger Events, allows cyclists to participate in up to six fully supported, timed rides through Oregon’s picturesque backroads. Participants can choose between gravel and road events, accommodating various skill levels and preferences. By registering for a 3 or 5-event pass, riders not only receive a swag pack at their first event but also enjoy discounted entry fees—15% off for the 3-event pass and 20% off for the 5-event pass. Additionally, those who complete three events earn the title of “Oregon Triple Crowner” and are rewarded with a custom Pactimo jersey. The first 100 registrants receive this jersey complimentary, while others have the option to purchase it at a discounted rate of $60, including shipping.  The full roster includes Real West Gravel (March), Sasquatch Duro (April),   Oregon Coast Gravel Epic (May), West Coast Gravel (May), Oregon Gran Fondo (May), and Takelma Gravel Grinder (June).

Accommodations for the Oregon Gran Fondo are available in the nearby towns of Cottage Grove and Eugene, with various options to suit all budgets and preferences. The event also offers camping options for those who prefer to stay closer to the action.  The overall vibe of the Oregon Gran Fondo is festive and inclusive, focusing on camaraderie and fun.  For restaurants, Stacy’s Covered Bridge, El Tapatio, and Bo & Vine are popular in the area. Mudslinger Events was formed by Michael Ripley, an enthusiastic mountain biker who grew up in Eugene, Oregon.
